* Client refers to the person/agent/company who has paid the deposit on the car or the couple/group/individual making use of the car on a particular day.
By paying the 20% non refundable deposit you agree to the above mentioned terms and conditions.
Classic Cats is not a taxi service, we rent out our Classic Cars for special events and functions. Our classic car rental fee includes:
Comprehensive and passenger liability insurance, chauffeur, fuel, 100 kilometers measured from Vredenheim Wine Estate , thereafter distance will be charged at R15 per km and R800 per hour.
Our time and distance calculations always start and end at Vredenheim.
20% non refundable deposit is required to secure a booking with the balance payable 21 days prior to the event.
A booking is Non refundable 30 days before the event date and an additional cancellation fee of R1200 will be charged per vehicle should a booking be cancelled within 21days of the booked date.
A booking is only secured when the 20% deposit reflects in our bank account. If two clients are trying to book a car, the first deposit to reflect in our account will have secured the car, the second will be refunded.
If the outstanding balance is not paid at least 48hours before the booking, Classic Cats reserves the right not to leave our premises unless the balance is paid and proof has been sent to us in writing. A cancellation fee will be charged as well as the deposit will not be refunded.
Classic Cats reserves the right to change cars should any mechanical or other circumstances dictate.
It is the clients responsibility to inform Classic Cats in writing if any of the road, driveway or paved surfaces are steep or are not in perfect condition. If the client has not informed us about these unsatisfactory surfaces or inclines, we reserve the right not to drive on any surface that we feel could damage our vehicles in any way.
Viewing of all our cars can be set up by appointment before a deposit is paid. If a client pays a deposit on a vehicle without viewing the car first, they accept the condition, size, colour etc of the vehicle and will not be refunded if they change their mind on the car after the deposit has been paid.
A vehicle may be swapped with any of our other cars available, any difference in price needs to be paid by the client.
Classic Cats may use any photo's taken of their cars with the clients for social media, website and marketing purposes unless asked not to by the client in writing.
A matric farewell booking is offered at a reduced rate, therefor we will only allow one pick up and one drop off. Any additional stops will be charged at the normal rate.
No alcohol will be served to any matric learners/scholars in our cars, unless we receive in writing from their parents that the minors are over the age of 18 years.
Any damaged caused to our vehicles or private property unless caused by an employee of classic cats will be billed to the client or company who booked the car from Classic Cats.
Rates as stated on the website and ratecards are subject to change without notice.
Please be aware that getting you to your event is our main concern and because of this we sometimes have to turn down bookings based on distance, incline, traffic, road condition and general safety.
Please keep in mind that although all our classic cars have been restored to the highest standards, these cars are all over 50 years old. They cannot be compared to modern cars. They drive slower, most have no aircon and are not as sound proof as a new car.
Classic Cats maintains our cars regularly and we try to keep them in top mechanical condition, however should there for some reason be a breakdown, classic cats will provide a secondary car as soon as possible, if the client does not want a secondary car, then Classic Cats will offer the client a full refund. Classic Cats cannot be held liable for any loss due to mechanical circumstances that were out of our control.
Classic Cats drivers are all equipped with a GPS, however sometimes we simply cant find a house or location even with the GPS. Should a driver get lost, a maximun of 30 min will be allowed for the driver to try and locate the client, before the client can cancel the booking This time will be re added to your booking.
